Junior State of America Pace High Chapter
Advisor - Mrs. Dawn Quarles High School students across the country are interested in politics, government, foreign affairs, the law, media and education. The Junior State of America (JSA) is designed for these students. JSA is nationally recognized as the finest student political education program. Its members participate in debates and political discussions; however, JSA is much more than a debate organization. Leadership training, activism, and journalism are also important elements. Democracy is a conversation--clashing ideas, differing opinions, and using convincing arguments are at the heart of JSA. Leadership opportunities abound in this student-run organization, and the chance to make an impact is central to the JSA experience. Leaders in JSA strive to make their chapters the center of political activity at their respective high schools. JSA at Pace High School will meet once a month to discuss interesting topics going on in our world. The discussions could range from Obama, Clinton, and McCain to the latest on Lindsey Lohan and Britney Spears. JSA is unlike any other club at Pace High and might possibly be your niche. This year is going to be packed with tons of exciting and interesting events, so don't miss out!
